1. About AustraliaMetrics

AustraliaMetrics (accessible at australiametrics.org) is operated by High Impact Group Pty Ltd, a company registered in Queensland, Australia.

AustraliaMetrics is a free, non-partisan public dashboard displaying Australia's performance across economic, social, fiscal, demographic, institutional and innovation metrics. Data is sourced from authoritative Australian government agencies including the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA), the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW), and other official sources.

AustraliaMetrics is not affiliated with any government agency, political party, or commercial interest. It is provided as a public information resource.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AustraliaMetrics, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly.

3. For Information Only

AustraliaMetrics is an information platform only.

Nothing on this platform — including scores, rankings, narratives, AI-generated analysis, or responses from the Bob AI assistant — constitutes financial advice, policy advice, investment advice, or any other form of professional advice.

Data and analysis on this platform is intended to inform public understanding of national performance. It should not be used as the sole basis for any significant decision without independent verification and, where appropriate, qualified professional advice.

4. Nature of the Data

AustraliaMetrics aggregates publicly available data from Australian government sources. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy and currency, but we make no warranty — express or implied — that the data is:

• Accurate, complete or up to date at any given time
• Free from errors or omissions in the underlying source data
• Suitable for any particular purpose
• Representative of conditions in any specific location, industry or community

Data is refreshed automatically from government sources on a weekly basis. Update frequency varies by metric — refer to the Data Status page for current refresh information.

AI-generated content — including narrative summaries and Bob's responses — is produced by large language models and may contain errors or misinterpretations. All AI-generated content is clearly labelled. Always verify against primary sources where accuracy matters.

5. Permitted Use

You may use AustraliaMetrics for any lawful purpose including:

• Personal research and general interest
• Education, journalism and public policy analysis
• Professional reference with appropriate attribution
• Academic research and citation
• Sharing and discussing Australia's national performance

When referencing AustraliaMetrics data or analysis publicly, attribution to AustraliaMetrics and High Impact Group Pty Ltd is appreciated.

6. Prohibited Use

You must not use AustraliaMetrics to:

• Scrape, copy or reproduce substantial portions of the platform's content or data for commercial resale without written permission
• Misrepresent AustraliaMetrics data or analysis as your own proprietary research without attribution
• Attempt to reverse engineer, disable or circumvent any technical systems on the platform
• Use the platform in any way that violates applicable Australian law
• Submit harmful, false or misleading content through any platform feature
• Use Bob for any purpose that violates these terms or that attempts to circumvent his design as a public information assistant

7. Bob — The AI Assistant

AustraliaMetrics includes Bob, an AI-powered assistant designed to help people explore and understand Australia's national performance data in plain language.

Bob's responses are generated by AI, drawing on AustraliaMetrics platform data and general knowledge. His responses are for general information only and do not constitute advice of any kind.

Privacy: Conversations with Bob are not stored or retained after your session ends. We do not log, analyse or share the content of your conversations with Bob. Rate limiting information (request counts per IP address) is held temporarily to prevent abuse and is not linked to conversation content.

We reserve the right to limit, suspend or modify access to Bob at any time.

8. Privacy and Data Collection

AustraliaMetrics does not collect personal information from visitors.

• No account registration is required or offered
• No email addresses are collected
• Bob conversations are not stored or retained
• Aggregate, anonymised analytics may be used to understand platform usage patterns — no personally identifiable information is collected or stored

9. Intellectual Property

The AustraliaMetrics platform — including its design, scoring methodology, AI architecture and original written content — is owned by High Impact Group Pty Ltd and protected under Australian copyright law.

Underlying government data displayed on the platform is sourced under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licences from the relevant agencies. Attribution requirements of those licences apply when reproducing source data.

You may share and reference AustraliaMetrics content with appropriate attribution. Reproduction of substantial portions of the platform for commercial purposes requires written permission from High Impact Group Pty Ltd.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, High Impact Group Pty Ltd excludes all liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of AustraliaMetrics, including but not limited to:

• Reliance on any data, score, narrative or AI-generated content on the platform
• Any decision made on the basis of platform data or analysis
• Errors, inaccuracies or omissions in source data or AI-generated content
• Interruption, suspension or discontinuation of the platform

Where liability cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, our liability is limited to the resupply of the relevant service or the cost of having the service supplied again.

11. Availability and Changes

AustraliaMetrics is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access and reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue the platform at any time without notice.

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be reflected in an updated effective date at the top of this page.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any dispute arising from your use of AustraliaMetrics will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
