Superannuation Assets — methodology
Category: Money & Markets · Unit: $ billion · Published quarterly
What this metric measures
Total assets held by APRA-regulated superannuation entities each quarter. Excludes self-managed super funds (around a quarter of the system), which APRA does not publish as a quarterly series.
Why it matters: Super is the main form of household wealth outside the home; its growth compounds into future retirement incomes.
