Household Net Wealth per Capita — methodology
Category: Money & Markets · Unit: $ per person · Published quarterly
What this metric measures
Household net worth - all assets (housing, super, deposits, equities) less all liabilities - divided by the resident population, from the RBA's household balance-sheet table and ABS population estimates.
Why it matters: Wealth per person is the balance sheet behind household confidence: it shows whether asset growth is outpacing debt over time.
