Average gross weekly earnings for full-time adult employees, from ABS Average Weekly Earnings survey. This is pre-tax income.
Why it matters: Tracks headline wage levels over time. Used as an income benchmark in burden indices (MRBI, RBI). Note: this is gross (pre-tax) earnings.
