Company Tax Receipts — methodology
Category: Government & Fiscal · Unit: $ million per year · Published annual
What this metric measures
Australian Government cash receipts from company tax in each financial year, from the Budget's historical receipts table. Outcomes only; budget estimates are not shown.
Why it matters: Company tax is the second-biggest federal revenue source after personal income tax. Its swings drive budget surpluses and deficits and reflect mining and corporate profits.
